Information about our School for the project web page

Kvarnbyskolan is situated in the heart of Mölndal. Kvarnbyskolan is one of the oldest schools in Mölndal. Kvarnbyskolan was built in 1923 and has along side of beeing a school been used for different purposes. After the WW2 is was used as a hopital for victims of the Holocaust. In the early days the school contained a public bath.

These days Kvarnbyskolan consists of 400 students from the ages 13-16 (grade 7-9) and about 40 staff members. Every year is divided into 5 classes. Three of the classes (one from each year) have a music profile. In our school we teach all subject required by the national curricula. We teach modern languages, besides English, French, German and Spanish.
Recent year the municipality have taken action to make sure it's young citicens are well supplied for the future so all students have access to a personal computer.

We are very exited yet again to take part in a Commenius project. We are hoping that this project make it possible to make new aqqaintences, improve the students language skills and learn more about European countries.
